Who we are...
The Christian Fencers Association (CFA) is a completely voluntary grassroots fellowship of Christians united to encourage good fellowship, good sportsmanship and good deeds throughout the fencing community and the world at large. All ages and races of CFA fencers can be found in the U.S. and the world.
Simply put, the CFA is a way that fencers, who are Christians, can put their faith into action by sharing with, and helping people in need through the sport we love. We don't have regular meetings or dues or funding. Involvement is by individual Christians who make something of the CFA to the extent that God leads them.
The C.F.A. conducts introductory Fencing Camps for under-privilegeded youth. Camps have been conducted throughout the US, and in countries such as England, Northern Ireland, Hungary and India. These have provided kids with an opportunity to participate in a sport they would have otherwise never been able to experience and to hear words of hope and encouragement
Other CFA actvities have included hosting “Fence for Food” tournaments to benefit food pantrys and disaster relief, plus conducting outreach fencing demonstrations for community events. CFA fencers regularly travel the country and the world to compete in tournaments. They are usually seen helping those around them quietly praying in gyms and clubs for safe tournaments, for all to do their best, and for the healing and spiritual needs of those around them.
